David Highland is the Founder and CEO of Highland, one of Australia’s leading independent property groups.
With more than 30 years of experience across the property industry, David has built a reputation for strategic growth, innovation and high performance. Since establishing Highland in 2007 with a team of six, he has grown the business into a multidisciplinary network of more than 220 professionals across seven offices on Australia’s East Coast.
Today, Highland operates across residential and rural sales, property management, commercial, project marketing, finance and marine, providing an integrated platform across the property lifecycle. The group has a significant presence across Sydney’s Sutherland Shire, Double Bay, Inner West and Southern Highlands, as well as the Northern Rivers and Gold Coast, transacting more than $2.5 billion in property sales annually and managing more than 5,000 investment properties across the network.
David’s leadership has been defined by an ability to identify opportunities, build high performing teams and expand into new markets while maintaining Highland’s independent culture and commitment to its clients.
His entrepreneurial interests extend beyond traditional real estate. In 2023, David launched Calico Marina in Cronulla, creating a new waterfront destination incorporating world class marina facilities and Pippis by The Grounds. This was followed by the launch of Highland Marine, extending the Highland platform into luxury marine sales and lifestyle.
Throughout his career, David has been recognised as one of Australia’s leading real estate professionals and has consistently ranked among the country’s top performing agents.
